Long first day in Isabela
We started off on our trip from Santa Cruz to Isabela with an early start, waking up at an early 4:45 am. We grabbed our stuff and loaded into a a farm truck and rode up to our bus. We got to the loading dock and waited in lines watching the water and getting to see cool animals such as birds, sea lions, and black tip reef sharks.🦭🦜🦈 We got on a taxi bus that then took us to our boat, the wolf, that we would then be on for a bumpy two hours. Most of us slept but those of us who weren’t as lucky (me) watched out the window at the passing islands. After arriving at Isabela Island we went straight to the Tero Real hostel where we ate a yummy breakfast of eggs and crossaints. Then we all headed down to the beach and had a few hours of swimming. Lunch consisted of chicken, rice, fish, beans, and more. After lunch we headed out and went to a bird pond watching flamingos frolic. Then we loaded up on an open bus and drove to the mangroves where we went on a mile walk through the beautiful trees. Then those who dared swam out through the mangroves and saw turtles in the water. After we headed back to our bus where our driver Papi wanted to make a TikTok with us. We danced and laughed then loaded on the bus. After a short drive back we got ready and explored the town which was having a party. We played soccer with local kids and then headed to a yummy dinner of burgers and fries. After we headed back over to play soccer and played with a older group. Then after a long day we came back to our air conditioned rooms and fell into a deep sleep. Yesterday we basically went to the beach and met Santa Claus (Papi).. This day was really amazing for everything. I did met Santa Claus. This memory was the most impressed thing because he was really funny and I and other students are dancing for TikTok for Spanish version. He can get happy for people definitely. Next thing is flamingo. This animal is a bird and color is pink and then, they can fly. Behavior was really cute. Then, They actually so gentle. It was also my favorite memory. Last thing is swimming in the ocean. We couldn’t do snorkeling because wave was really strong. So teacher thought not able to see any fish. However, I was able to hang out with my friends. Then, we just went swimming a lot. Summary is those three things was really amazing. If I have opportunity, I wish I can do those things. The day was perfected. By Chihiro
